Free Information Request: Operation Soul

Reason for Free Information Request being denied:

The information is not nesscary to be public knowledge and has been removed from public records. The information present in the Oliver Act will surfice as an explarnation of Operation Soul's purpose in furture TSADF operations and laws.

Purpose of Operation Soul:

On account of current losses suffered by TSADF operatives, Mr. A. Williams has proposed the use of automatonic operatives to replace human units in the field. Operation Soul is the production and research of these operatives and the possibility of no more human life losses in the future.

Operation: Soul Status report:

Team: B-5-00-6689

Team lead: Mr. A Willaims

Mission Rating: Code 0

Misson Objective: Produce autominous automatonic units to supliment and replace human units in hazardous conditions.

Operation status: As of this document, Cancelled.

Injuires: n/a

Casulities: n/a

Seized Contents: n/a

Detained Humans: n/a

Detained Non-humans: n/a

Reason for Canceling operation:

89-00 units produced using the methods proposed by Mr. A Willaims, proved too volite in the field and, as per multiple requests, where scrapped as soon as possible.

Operation Soul will be scrubbed from all public records in order to preserve TSADF public relations and any further continuation of Operation Soul will be seen as treason to the TSADF oath.

Report 001:

This shall be the first report log, in what I suspect will be many, of Operation Soul. As a result, I will quickly run though the operation and it's end goals.

Operation Soul is the plan for the production of an autominous operative force to help reduce human casulities present in TSADF operations. Unfortuntely, due to this being ground breaking technology which has not been down prior, our first call of operation will be the study of how to produce the desired autominous trait.

This report, is the detailing of our current progress. I have concluded that Automony is present in all manner of living entities. With the definition that I have been provided, at the very least.

The first step would be attempt to extract this automonous state from one creature, the pig provided to me by TSADF, and to impliment it into an inanimate object.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 002 - 005 has be reducted to prevent cognito hazardous information from spreading.

Report 006:

I am tremendously glad to state, after countless sleepless nights and numerous failed test subjects, a successful transfer of one test subject's automony, here after refered to as Daisy, into an inanimate form designed to replicate the original form of Daisy.

As of now, there is signs of distress. However this is to be expect on a first attempt. The form, while a visually perfect copy lacks the nerves required for proper interaction with the physical world. This is something which would likely be solved in later attempts.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 007:

I have run into an unexpected side effect. Test subject Daisy has been behaving in a perculiar manner as of late. She has been ignoring prior sensory input that she would have responded to, I theorise this is due to not registorning such input. Other abnormal behaviour includes acting increasingly recklessly despite her previous docile demenour.

While this is not part of the desired outcome this new behaviour is most fasinating. I will continue with Operation Soul as well as monitoring these new behavioural patterns further.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 008:

Due to unforseen side effects of attempting this experiment with an untrained animal, I will now move on to the use of pre-trained animals, namely dogs. While Daisy and most pigs do show signs of intelligence the time to train them would greatly reduce my progress.

As for a report on Daisy's current condition, it is unremarkble and there is no noticable or important to note changes. Her behaviour is odd, but not anymore so than previously reported.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 009:

In absence of new test subjects, I have decided to take the time to produce a more user friendly "host body". The prior model was, stiff and not very usable, as a result I have managed to work along side a few freelance craftsmen to produce a more acceptable prototype.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 010:

Progress has rapidly increased with the use of dogs. The animals training has greaty assisted in the testing of the units abilites to follow instructions. Unfortunatly, the prior recording behavioural changes has persisted. The dogs seem to respond to non-exsistant stimuli on more than one occasion.

This behaviour was more readily seen on units that have had limited or no interation with myself or other test subjects. Perhaps prolonged isolation will increase such behavioural changes. However this is not a current concern.

The units that have been given acceptable amounts of attention and tasks to do have preformed at an exceptional level. While, the dogs still behave similar to the original personalities, the lack of pain receptors or abilities to feel fatige has greatly improved the productivity of even the most lazy dogs.

Unfortunatly, the limits of our engines to power the newer model bodies are now showing their true weakness. Stronger sources of power must be discovered or these models will only provide minimal use in the field.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 011:

The progress on Operation Soul is progressing as expected. While other forms of energy must be used to continue powering the 89-0 units, the operation of these units are fully automous. The curretn, unfortunte, draw back is an ever limited amount of intelligence one can expect from the current batch of subjects.

I can understand limiting our test pool to animals, but there is only so much of utility one can gain from creatures such as dogs and cats. The next batch of tests subjects should move on to more intelligent creatures. If God is willing, we will be able to break through the current limitations of our technology.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 012:

It is becoming more and more clear to me that TSADF will not provide the resources I require to progress in this field. However, I have been given free reign to provide it for myself. As a result, I have made use of my time and resources to begin gathering of more, obscure, subsitites for test subjects. Namely, humans closest living primate, Chimpanzes.

I only hope that the limitations present in prior test subjects prove to be species based rather than method based. But until the delivery of the newset batch of test subjects, that would be impossible to know.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.

Report 013:

Outstanding behavoural differences have been observed in the newset test subjects of mine. While the dogs merely provided abnormal behavour, the chimpanzes seemed to respond wholly out of expectations.

A few test subjects attempted an ineffective escape attempt, almost as soon as understanding the lack of physical deterints that would have prior prevented it. Seemingly, the subjects came to the conclusion that they were free from prior biological limitations.

I, however, must lement that due to the danger pocessed by such, antimony based creatures granted freedom from their natural limitations, these test subjects had to be disposed of.

Perhaps given a creature of similar or higher intellect and more human reasoning would be more profitable. As the increased intellence of these champanzes allowed for more through testing of the limits of the new unit designs as well as more fascinating investigation into the behavioural differences such subjects have underwent.

Mr. Andrew Willaims.
