This is not a Kinitio PET review or even a critic for one. I haven't finished the game or played much more than about an hour so critic and review would be not only heavily baised but in my opinion unethical. So this is just a bullshit rant instead of one of my usual reviews like I gave SWAT 4 or RE 5 and 6.

I don't know much about Kinito PET. I have heard of it, no shit. I did see that this nerdcore artist Longestsoloever made a song about it. And it was a pretty kick ass song. But I am not a lore expert on Kinito PET. So, it is likely that I am misundertanding what is going on here.
That being said. I quite hate Kinito PET. Like, I was trying to be nice to Kinito. I said he was my best friend. I draw him when he asked me to draw a friend. I even helped him clean up his friends house and the douchebag still kept trying to jumpscare me. Shit move, bro. Shit move.
Like, for example, the first "scare" was when Kinito asked me to go help his friend sam clean up his house. Which, nice. I don't mind. I do a bit of housework IRL so, some in a digital zone is a-okay. But than Kinito decided to drag some dead body over the floor I just scrubbed. Which, again. Dick move, Kinito!
I just cleaned it up. Like damn it, Kinito. I had to dust and get onto my "theroritical" knees to scrub the floor and than you drag a corpse over it! Not cool, bro. Not cool.
But yeah. Realistically my complaint with Kinito PET is I am not the biggest fan of how aggressive Kinito is. Like if Kinito is trying to befriend me, shouldn't he be trying to finesse me just a little bit, right? I am mostly thinking about DDLC (Doki Doki Literture Club if you did not know) and Monika. Mostly, because Monicika is trying to finesse the player the whole game. So she didn't freaking try to jump scare me at all! I doubt most people would side with Monika if she tried to jumpscare the player.
Like Kinito do you understand that most people do not enjoy getting jumpscared in normal conversation? Like usually when you want to make people happy or friendly, you have to try to make them feel comfortable. Not, ask them if they are afraid of the dark and than dropping them into a dark room. You failed at making friends KINTIO!
I don't mind me a few horror things. I like horror. I was working on finishing Dead Space and RE 4 and I have watched a bit of horror media. But, I do not quite understand why Kinito was being so aggressive off the bat. You know? Again, the sterotypical thing most people dislike is fear. So a creature trying to befriend a person should probably try to avoid scaring the person they are trying to befriend, right? Right?
Also, some of the scares felt a bit.. Try hard? Like, Kinito asked me to draw "the person standing behind me". Which, may have worked better if I didn't have a cat sitting on the back of my chair and my dad walking into the room to grab something. So, yeah, Kinito. I'll draw my dad or my cute cat. Ver scary, Kinito.
He also tried to take a photo of me with my webcam, but uh... I was too fast and covered it with my thumb before he could. You see, Kinito. You might be able to get control of my webcam, but I can just... Cover it with either tape or my hand. Come on, Kinito. This is rookie shit.
Also, also. I do have an actual desktop pet. Her name is may. She is nekomimi with green hair and is a desktop maid. And she kinda killed the mood. Argueble, my fault. Counter argument, it was funny how Kinito was trying to be all scary and stuff, and May was just busy scrubbing the screen clean. It was adorable. I love May.
Also, Kinito needs to work on his web design. Like his webstie has one too many bugs and glitches. He does not know how to prevent bugs or glitches. I am no expert, but I am proud to say my site does not bug out so bad that it crashes and grabs some old unused assests and somehow loaded it into a random spot.
Also, poor kinito pet. There was like no files on my laptop. I am so sorry. I have work shit, yes. I have like numerous reference photos, yes. And a shit ton of games. But not many personal files. I am too much of a conspiracy theorist to have that shit on my laptop. So, poor Kinito was getting like nothing.
I like that Kinito uses text to speech. Namely it sounds close to Microsoft SAM default voice. I don't know if anyone knows what I am refering to but it was like this text to speech app that I had on my windows XP laptop. You could like type words for the voice to say and he'd say it. Very robotic, you know? But kinda cool.
I also do like how the program is able to work "on your desktop". I kinda know how it works. So, not as super cool, but still pretty cool. I like that. It works for some of the more rough scares.
I also do like how it just grabbed my actual desktop wallpaper for the in-universe wallpaper. I quite liked that. Although, my desktop wallpaper was some Bloodbourne fan art, so I kept getting distracted by a drawing of The Plain Doll... Sorry Kinito.
Kinito is very cute. Like, he is adorable. It's a pretty cute little design. I like how he has these sort of googgly eyes and stick legs. Kinito is cute. I just wish he learned any interpersonal skills. But cute still. I even tried to give him head pats.
It is impressive the amount of control the game has over you desktop. So, props to the game devs.
Now, I am not a good example of a horror fan. I am honestly convinced that I am just a normie. You know? So, I am sure this game worked better for other people. No doubt about that. Kinito PET was a popular game a while back. So, I wouldn't say my idea of it is accurate or good at all. You know? I'm not criticing Kinito PET. I'm just being an asshole on the internet.
