There is this kickass thing most bikers have, called a Gremlin Bell or a Guardian Bell. Now, I'm not sure about all the mythology about it, but apparently, the story my dad told me, is that they are attached to your bike and ring to annoy road gremlin away from you bike to keep you safe.
And, dear reader, that's fucking cool! I mean, I love all of this type of stuff. And it's a trinket you can't actually buy for yourself. It's a sort of gift like thing, where it only applies if someone else gives it to you. You know? Like if someone tells you you look emo, it's not something you can say for yourself.
So, I'm getting one for him. Here's the idea, I know three people who apply here, one is my Dad, one is a current bike owner and the last one is looking into getting a bike. If I gift all three of them a gremlin bell, in theory that makes them in debt to me for a gremlin bell. I mean, you don't have to match every grimlin bell gift with you own, be I knew these guys, they'll feel like they owe me. You see where I'm going, yes, dear reader? Since they each owe me a gremlin bell, I should in theory get three separate grimlin bells.
You can imagine that right, dear reader? Like, when I get my bike, it'll have three gremlin bells. Those poor road grimlins would be so screwed, man. Like, yes, the damn bike is gonna sound like Santa's sliegh but I will be functionally invinceable in terms of grimlins.
But yeah, I am a fan of this whole grimlin bell thing. I do wonder if there is other stuff of this varity. I mean for things like cars, or like other things for bikes too. I usually like to wear my mom's choker which she gave to me and a cross necklace when I go out. And a Aunt of mine actually is Hindu, and has a mini-shrine in her car. It's actually pretty cool, not gonna lie. And most Christians I've met have either a Fish symbol or a cross somehere on their belongings.
So, dear reader. Don't entirely feel left out, I'm sure you could start introducing like a personal thing into your life like this. Like, if you really like Pokemon, you can get a cute little Pokemon keychain or if you are religious, and your religion allows it, keep a symbol of your religion on your clothing or something.
