Am I an asshole?

Probably. I mean I am a very hatable person, over all. I tend to be loud and stupid. If I met me, I would punch me. But, I would like to say that sometimes, on the odd occasion, I may be right. Or somewhat right.

So, my boss wanted me to do a kinda side gig for my main job. Simple shit really, just make a booklet. The boss gave me this like a few months back but the boss recently wanted me to revise it so I did. But when I handed it in, they more or less said all is good and I went to go focus on my actual work. Kinda... I have a fucked up css grid system to fix, it's going... swimingly.

Well, today, the boss got all huffy puffy because I didn't do new tasks they added on top of it. And like... Bro... WTF?

You had the booklet from like, the middle of the morning yesterday to check for changes you wanted me to do, and you're adding new changes and bitching that I didn't do them properly? Like, okay? The fuck.

I would admit, I was a little pissed. Just a little. I would've liked any communication about the new tasks before... Getting crapped out about it now. Than the boss asked why I was pissed. Which fair, I have a completely shit poker face. So I more or less said, "well, why didn't you tell me this before?"

And all hell broke loose. Boss got mad. Like shouting and accusing me of not doing the work mad. Like bluntly asked me if I was working on something else, which I... I kinda was. The other task I was assinged. I mean... It's not technically part of my job describtion to do... Graphic design? I do sometimes do it, like I made the companies logo, made an animation for the client and what not but I don't have formal training in it anyways. So... Yayy! My job is front-end shit, for websites. That's what I got hired for.

Got crapped out at work. Fuck, I wanna go back to being a NEET. I mean, hey. I know I kinda fucked up, I should've just been like, "nah, it's nothing. My bad." and left it at that but... Eh. I don't have a time machine, you know?

And look. I'm fine with more work. More work is good. I'm getting paid to be useful, but good fucking god, I didn't expect that much of a backlash for anwsering a question truthfully. I mean, I get it, maybe I was being rude or something. But I would've liked that the information was given a little earlier than, the deadline day, you know? The boss had a full day to at least sceem through the damn thing.

Ah, well. Guess I'm in the dog box or something. Yipee.

You know, being a NEET was pretty fucking cool compared to this. But. Those collections don't pay for themselves, eh? I would love to just mull about working on projects and this site and getting cool shit and hobbies but I'm not stupid. Money is kinda important and the only ethical way for my spolit ass to get it is to earn it. I don't have any reason to not work so I don't really deserve any help.

I mean, it was my job to have gotten the booklet done. And I should've patched up the interaction inside of answering honestly, fair, fair. I guess, I'd have just like some more quailty control before being told I fucked everything up on the day of the deadline. Which... Eh...

Maybe the boss was just busy or stressed or whatever. The pamphlet is for some business meeting, which the information for is both no my interest and above my pay-grade. I probably fucked up. Like, I screwed everything up. My boss is my boss, if they want to give me more surprize work randomly, it's my job to do it. I shouldn't have made everything spiral. It would have been better if I just brushed it off and got to work, yeah? I would say I am... blunt. I can be harsh most of the time. Or more... Literal with my wording. And there's never an excuse for being rude or harsh to anyone, honestly. Besides, I am their employee. I can't act all stuck up and what not. The boss of a company can expect to make changes and not recieve push back, you know. And it is month end so the books are probably taking up most of the boss's attention. So, I'm not exactly blaming them.

I'm not arguing that I am a very mature or well put together person. I mean, I am a mess. I still keep all the teddy bears I got as a kid. I used to flat out eat paper, not like ediable paper like, a4 printer paper. I waste all my money on useless shit. I have no outside social life aside from one friend I accidently end up ghosting. It is very likely I'm the bad guy here. I don't mind if I am. At least than I can fix the problem by acting differently. I mean, i am already used to acting differently if that makes sense.

I mean, I usually try to keep a sort of buubbly, friendly, affectionate vibe around most other people. Not... Not, that I'm not like that, it's just. I tend to yo-yo more naturally between high energy when I'm excited and low energy or more like... Calm or eh... mellow, but that's frustrating understandably for people who don't like that or know me all that well. So, I tend to keep a more up-beat demenor around others. I don't made acting and doing what others need me to, is my point. I just kinda need to know what the rules are for me to act like how I am expected to.

But this is also my blog, so... I guess you get my perspective.

But, that's enough negativity for one morning, let's think about something else.

On a lighter note:

So, did you guys ever go to those like... Stock photo sites. They're pretty funny to leaf through. And uh... here's some of the ones for "english".

Like there's one that's just scrabble pieces layed out to spell out "choose your words" and... I have never seen little lettered wooden blocks that where that ominous. Like... What do you mean, Choose your words. Why should I? Am I going to be in trouble if I choose them wrong?

Another was a notepad with the words "am I good enough?" on it and underlined. I wanted a stock photo, website, not a existential crisis. Tf? Where am I too even use a stock photo like this? On a mental health talk?

Not all of them are bad, one was a girl writing the word family on a blackboard in cursive. THat one was cute. Very pink too. I liked her jacket. It was like this denim long coat with white stiching. Very cool.

Than there was a blackout board which read and I quote, "I didn't come this far to come this far"? And... I guess I get what it means. Like, keep going forward. But there is likely a thousand more clear ways to have said that. Like, "I came this far, I can go further.", or "I didn't come this far to stop now."

Also a handful of English pubs showed up and... Well, I've never wanted to go to a pub this much before. I kinda feel for some pub food and a coke right about now.

Go back?
