Look, I am saying this with my limited knowledge on fae, so take this with a grain of salt. But Fae would be very interesting to have an actual fae as a spouse. First of all, Fae are not really into humans as far as I know. At least not in anything more than a meal kind of way, which... Mood, honestly. But if you did manage to get a Fae to fall in love with you and marry you, how would that work?
First off all, I do think you'd have to get used to being very specific in what you say. Most people mistakenly think that Genie's are the ones that have to be specific with, but in reality that is mostly false. It's fae you have to watch your words with. But, unless you want your spouse to have a misunderstanding, I do suggest being very literal and careful with your words.
Secondly, you might have to explain that neighbours are not snacks. Especially since fae do tend to like pickling eyeballs. I am not sure why? Or how? As I think the texture would be horrible. I don't like pickels or eyeballs, but moving back on to the current challenge.
Thirdly, I guess get used to very odd behaviour and things. Mostly since fae are known for having very different morality and also being native to the fae wilds. But hey, on the plus side I am almost fully convinced that your fae apouse would be stoked to just turn someone into a pig or something for you if you ask them nicely.
But I do think lore accurate fae would make adorable spouses. And I am totely not saying that because I think it would be adorable to have a fae husbando or waifu who would not mind turning the annoying neigbour who does renovations at like 11:00 into a bird or something...
But uh... My annoying rant is over.
